We Make Sound is a free creative project for Tees Valley 11-18 yrs. The project invites young people to engage with their natural surroundings by listening, field recording, and creative sound/music-making. On short, intensive projects, participants work together on a theme based on the local environment, creating a sound/music track together.

WMS’s last project about the River Tees included learning how to record under-water species, and ended with a Tees boat trip where the public listened to the track on headphones. BBC Tees Radio feature WMS projects on their community programme.  WMS is affiliated with The Auxiliary CIC.  It is part-funded by Guildhall (GSMD).
