Iceland - Research Trip

These two pieces came out of a research project with artist, Sophie Clements in Iceland.  'Jo's Dark' was made with electronic musician and producer, Jo Wills who developed and composed with recordings I made in an ice cave on the Hvannadalshnúkur glacier.

'Vik' explores the transition from outside to inside the small cabin house where my friend and colleague Sigrun Saevarsdottir's Dad grew up on the south coast of Iceland.  At dusk on the dunes near the beach, you can hear the puffins flying home to roost.  Inside the wood cabin, there is an incredible stillness and the photos of many ancestors overlook the little dining table.
